…well, managed to do two pieces of Finnish homework and one matriculation exam -practice.

…mahjongg.

(Oh, it seems that I don’t have to think my posts so much – they’re all about mahjongg.)

And still, stage number two hasn’t been conquered. (And there are 25 stages – this will take about 800 years or so.)

Luckily I’m not the only one with such problems.

1. Write a novel.

I did. Thanks to NaNo, I got a novel written.

2. Do at least 20 bookmarks and give them to your friends.

Nope. I made 6, but then I forgot this challenge totally.

3. Read at least one book in Swedish and 3 in English.

I did. Actually I read 4 novels in Swedish, 17 in English and one in Russian. So, this goal was fulfilled.

4. Learn how to cook a soufflé.

I didn’t. I had that in my mind during the whole year, but then… I just didn’t have time for it.

5. Knit a hat.

No. I was supposed to do that, but I was too lazy to start.

6. Get one of your writings published, except columns.

Done.

7. Watch the whole season one of Heroes.

Done, actually two times. Season 1 and season 2. (That wasn’t hard challenge, though.)

8. Stay up over one total night or more.

Done. Three times, actually.

9. Get 10 from some of your maths, chemistry or physics test.

^^, even though I still can’t believe it.

10. Win Miccoh in the chess game (his own challenge)

We didn’t have chance to play during the year.

11. Visit some place you’ve always wanted to, but you’ve never been before.

Well… Actually and kind of yes. I went to Helsinki, for that book-selling-weekend, and I’ve always wanted to visit there.

12. Get a summerjob.’

Got one from the shop. Wasn’t so glad.

13. Break a coconut.

We did.

14. Pass the music’s theory exams.

I skipped them.

15. Write a letter to some of your idols.

Masi Oka. (And he answered!)

16. Start learning a new language.

Irish.

17. Make a new notebook for yourself.

Made. And still love it.

18. Be active with your blog.

I have three blogs, so I actually was, even though not with this one.

19. Get a boyfriend. (challenge from Virma)

20. Taste at least 20 different tea types.

I tasted even more.

So, 14/20. Not that bad. I just have to invent new challenges for this year.

My female main character just told me that she is addicted to Twin Peaks. Well, that’s probably alright, but I’m not sure whether Twin Peaks exist in the reality I’m writing about. Mitja, my male main character, adores Donna Tartt – another problem. Well, maybe I’m not supposed to think about that so much, but Autumnwreck wasn’t supposed to turn out to be part of this world. Maybe my mind is trying to tell me I’m too old for writing fantasy?

I’ve got chocolate, I’ve got apple juice and I’ve got a problem with a boy I thought I was in love with. So the conditions are great for writing, but still… my story doesn’t make any sense. A genderless ghost who steals marshmallows when they’re roasted in the firework and listens to Coldplay?
